ForestExpress, Commerce One Inc and SAPMarkets Inc., the SAP AG subsidiary, announced a strategic partnership to develop sophisticated purchasing and selling activities across the ForestExpress e-marketplace.
The open technology platform and global footprint provided by Commerce One and SAPMarkets will strengthen ForestExpress' reach as a worldwide, independent e-commerce marketplace serving the forest products industry.
ForestExpress is a forest products consortium led by founding partners including Weyerhaeuser, Georgia-Pacific Corp., International Paper and The Mead Corp.
