In cooperation with Schneider Logistics, Fibermarket is enhancing its Fiber Management Marketplace by offering logistics services to improve integration between the Fibermarket exchange and transportation of recovered fiber. The value-added service will improve supply chain efficiencies for Fibermarket's customers.
``Schneider Logistics provides a real and measurable value to Fibermarket's customers,'' said Richard Venditti, president of Fibermarket's Recycling Division. ``Working in tandem with Schneider Logistics brings us closer to our goal of completely integrating the supply chain for buyers, suppliers, and brokers of recovered fiber. Today's release is a breakthrough in the forest products industry because it allows our customers to utilize the full spectrum of transportation functionality from rate quote through product delivery without leaving the Fibermarket environment.''
According to Fibermarket, this is the first step toward providing a comprehensive logistics solution for its customers. Future Fibermarket logistics initiatives will include core-carrier transportation options; dynamic transportation reporting; international transportation, and exception-only transportation management.
