Casella Waste
Systems, Inc., reported financial results for the second quarter of its fiscal
year. For the quarter the company reported net income of $152,000. Revenue for
the quarter was $139.3 million. EBITDA was $27.4 million. The results for the
quarter are pro forma to reflect the elimination of proceeds from the
settlement of a lawsuit in the company's favor, partially offset by non-recurring
settlement costs.
"We reiterate our focus on executing the
divestitures of non-core assets, and strengthening our focus on our core
franchise of traditional solid waste businesses," John Casella, president
and CEO of Casella Waste Systems, said. "Clearly, that agenda is our game
plan for returning the business to a level of consistent, reliable
performance," Casella said. "We look forward to keeping our
shareholders, employees and the investment community informed of our
progress."
