American Tissue Inc. said it acquired Global Tissue LLC for an undisclosed price to increase its distribution and production capabilities.
American Tissue, the fourth largest tissue manufacturer in the United States, said it will strengthen its tissue business in the Southeastern U.S. with the acquisition of the closely held Memphis, Tennessee-based company. The acquisition will add around 450,000 tons per year of tissue product for the company.
This is the third acquisition since May for American Tissue.
