Amcor Ltd., Australia's largest packaging company, has agreed to buy Swiss-based tobacco carton maker Poly Laupen, as part of plans to double the size of its tobacco-related business over the next three years.
The price wasn't disclosed. Still, Melbourne-based Amcor said the price paid for closely held Poly Laupen was ``significantly less'' than the Swiss company's annual sales of $27 million.
Poly Laupen makes packaging products for the tobacco, confectionary and cosmetic industries.
