Alliance Forest Products Inc. started up its new supercalendered paper machine No. 4 at its Donnacona, Que., facility. Paper was successfully passed through the machine to the winder on Oct. 22, and the machine is now producing paper on an ongoing basis in start-up mode.
The machine will manufacture high end SCA papers. It has an annual production capacity of 152,000 metric tons.
