Bulk Handling Systems (BHS), Eugene, Oregon, has named Steve Almond to the position of sales consultant for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Almond has more than 25 years of sales management experience in the solid waste and recycling industry, including more than a decade of specialization in optical sensor technology. As a member of the BHS team, Almond will specialize in Max-AI technology, including the Max-AI AQC, as well as represent the company’s other core separation solutions: BHS Tri-Disc screens and turnkey systems, Nihot air separators and NRT optical sorters.
“When I saw the Max announcement and watched the video, I immediately knew that the technology was something our industry has been waiting for and something I wanted to be a part of,” says Almond. “I’ve visited hundreds of MRFs (material recovery facilities) and they all have the same problems with staffing, high labor costs, health and safety risks, operational management and performance. BHS’ entire product line is first class, and the ability to manufacture and support all of the core technology provides truly unique value that I’m excited to share with my customers.”
BHS CEO Steve Miller adds, “Beyond Steve’s extensive knowledge and experience with recycling systems, he’s really proven himself a thought-leader with an innate grasp of the industry as a whole—where it has been and where it’s headed—and he deeply understands our customers’ business models and financial drivers. With our industry under increased pressure to boost yield and purity, we’re fortunate to have someone of Steve’s caliber delivering the BHS solutions to meet this demand.”
Almond is a Chartered Waste Manager as qualified by the Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) based in the U.K.
Almond can be reached by phone at 44-7572-755271 or by email at salmond@bhsequip.com.
