Machinex Technologies appoints new CEO
Pierre Paré, chairman and president of the Plessisville, Quebec-based Machinex Group of companies, has announced that Chris Hawn has been promoted to the role of CEO with Machinex Technologies Inc., the U.S. division of the group.
Hawn has worked at Machinex since 2010, starting as the North American sales director. He was appointed to executive vice president of sales and business development in May 2016.
In his new position, he will grow the company’s sales team while also leading alternative market development and ensuring a stronger presence in North America.
Machinex develops sorting, waste management and recycling technology.

LiuGong adds chairman for North American division
China-based Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co. Ltd. has announced Kevin Thieneman has joined the company as chairman of LiuGong North America and senior chief director of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery.
Thieneman has 24 years of experience in the construction equipment sector, most recently serving as president of Caterpillar Forest Products. He has served in senior leadership roles for Caterpillar in the Asia Pacific region for more than a decade. In May 2017, Thieneman was elected chairman of the Georgia Association of Manufacturers, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. Its mission is to advocate for a competitive business environment in Georgia.
