Allmetal Recycling based in Wichita, Kansas, reportedly has purchased fellow Kansas-based scrap recycling firm Salina Iron & Metal.
An early January article posted to the Wichita Eagle website quotes Allmetal co-owner Clint Cornejo as saying the purchase of the Salina, Kansas, company “made sense” and would help Allmetal expand its “footprint and reach.”
Allmetal made at least two acquisitions in 2019, buying Wichita-based Boge Recycling in February and Glickman Metal Recycling, also based in Wichita, in November of that year.
On its website, Allmetal Recycling says it was formed by brothers Marty and Ron Cornejo, who eventually handed the reins of the company to their sons, Clint and Kolby Cornejo.
Salina Iron & Metal, on its website, says it “served the North Central Kansas region for over 100 years.” The Wichita Eagle article quotes Bob Butts as the company’s owner.
