Florida-based Aeon Blue Software has announced that it will release version 2 of its Nexus recycling software Jan. 1, 2011. According to an Aeon Blue press release, the software has been rewritten to increase speed and efficiency and to aid scale-house personnel in getting loads weighed, processed and ticketed and to increase the speed at which recyclers can pay. Nexus says the software offers users every feature of the application out of the box with nothing more to buy.

The software ships with the capability of connecting to four IP cameras per station, using barcode reader technology on every printed form and capturing digital signatures and fingerprints of drivers, according to the company. The system can be used with a cash drawer in addition to a check writing system.
A key feature of the newest version of Nexus is the instant reporting of salvage vehicle information to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), according to Aeon Blue.
The software is compatible with every scale, printer and scanner, Aeon Blue says, and does not require special hardware or software. The application is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and the latest Windows 7 operating system.
Using the Nexus program, customers can connect all of their locations without purchasing additional hardware or software, the company says.
