UNTHA UK achieves three accreditations

Shredder manufacturer certified to ISO standards for quality, the environment and safety.

Industrial shredder manufacturer UNTHA UK has achieved three ISO (International Organization for Standardization) accreditations pertaining to quality, the environment and health and safety management. 

The company received ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 certifications following in-depth audits of the company’s processes, culture and operating performance that were conducted by an independent firm. 
 
UNTHA UK announced in a corporate statement that the certifications represent the minimum standards that UNTHA UK upholds daily and also provide a benchmark for continuous improvement. 
 
Commenting on the news, UNTHA UK Managing Director Chris Oldfield observes, “Our drive towards greater teamwork and efficiency began with our organizational restructure earlier in 2014. The business has grown by 500 percent in only two years, so it is important that we remain a close-knit and well-organized team as we continue to expand. These latest ISO achievements complement the changes we’ve already started to make.” 
 
Further, Oldfield says achieving the accreditations is a significant accomplishment, as the process can take up to two years. “It reflects the collaborative efforts of our team and shows our unswerving dedication to doing business properly,” Oldfield says. 
 
UNTHA UK says its ISO9001 certification evidences its commitment to quality assurance throughout every area of the business. The environmental standard ISO14001 requires UNTHA UK to continually reduce the level of resources consumed and waste produced each year. And the ISO18001 health and safety accreditation demonstrates employees’ knowledge and use of procedures to protect all stakeholders and the environment from the hazards inherent within the shredding sector.
