Ferrovial Servicios, based in Spain, announced that, through its AmeyCespa joint venture, has completed the acquisition of Dickerson Group. The acquisition included Dickerson’s U.K. waste management company Donarbon.
Donarbon operates a range of waste management facilities, including a landfill, two transfer stations, nine recycling centers, as well as other industrial and commercial services. Donarbon’s assets include a waste management contract in Cambridgeshire, U.K. under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI).
In a release, Ferrovial says that one of its strategic priorities for the acquisition is the ability to enter the waste management business in the United Kingdom.
"The Donarbon acquisition is strategic for Ferrovial Servicios, since it enhances Ferrovial's end-to-end offering for local authorities in the U.K., and is a clear example of the synergy between group subsidiaries in offering comprehensive value-added services to our clients," says Santiago Olivares, CEO of Ferrovial Servicios, in a release.
