OmniSource Adds Three Veteran Recyclers to Positions

Scrap metal company strengthens its company with the addition of three long-time scrap industry veterans.




OmniSource Corp. has announced the addition of three people to its ferrous and nonferrous sales staff.

Shane Smith has joined the company as OmniSource’s Northern Indiana Division manager in Fort Wayne, Ind. Most recently, he was the VP of Commercial Operations with River Metals Recycling in Louisville, Ky., where he managed 13 yards and was responsible for scrap marketing and processing.

Stan Davis joins OmniSource Southeast as plant manager at its Smithfield, N.C. operation. Davis has more than 18 years of experience in the scrap industry experience, primarily with Commercial Metals Co.

Larry Kraynik, most recently with Miller Compressing Co., Milwaukee, Wis., has joined OmniSource’s Nonferrous Division in Fort Wayne. Kraynik’s nonferrous metals background will be used in the procurement and trading areas. Additionally, Kraynik held positions with Commercial Metals and Wabash Alloys.
