Waste to Green is pursuing e-Stewards, Responsible Recycling Practices (R2) and ISO 14001 environmental management system certifications.
Electronic scrap services company Waste to Green was founded by two recent university graduates, Amritpal Chatha and Harpreet Cheema, whose mission is to divert as much electronic scrap from landfills as possible while also ensuring data security.
Chatha holds a master’s degree in information systems and worked with one of the leading PC manufacturers in the United States. He says he realized the gap in providing end-of-life electronics solutions and associated data security risks that businesses and consumers faced when disposing of their old IT assets.
Cheema holds a master’s degree in environmental studies. While completing a project for her degree in India, she saw how the world’s developed waste was being dumped in developing countries and wanted to help make a difference.
The company is currently pursuing its e-Stewards, Responsible Recycling Practices (R2) and ISO 14001 environmental management system certifications. This minority-woman-owned company is committed to responsible and secure electronics recycling.

A: We take e-waste, the environment and data security seriously. With businesses updating their technologies so often, they are also faced with the daunting task of managing their old IT assets, data security and regulatory compliance. Our on-site/off-site secure data destruction services include hard drive shredding along with electronic waste recycling. Our complete life cycle IT asset management service helps businesses meet their environmental and legislative obligations for equipment disposal. We help customers make very important decisions regarding their old assets—whether to sell, reuse, refurbish or recycle.

A: As an ethical electronics recycler with an uncompromising commitment to environmental sustainability, data security and the prevention of toxic e-waste from being exported to third-world countries. Waste to Green hopes to become a leader in the electronics recycling world.
