Novelis appoints SVP, chief procurement officer

Novelis Inc., a world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling based in Atlanta, has appointed Roxana Molina as its new senior vice president and chief procurement officer. Molina will lead the company’s global metal and nonmetal procurement programs. Based at Novelis’ global headquarters in Atlanta, Molina will report to Novelis President and CEO Steve Fisher and serve on the company’s executive committee.

According to a news release from Novelis, Molina has more than 30 years of global procurement experience, spanning a diverse range of roles. During her 25-year career at Ford Motor Co., she served in several purchasing leadership positions in Europe, North America and South America.

She most recently served as Global Purchasing Director of Engine and Powertrain Installations at Ford. In this position, she directed a team of 200 professionals based in the United States, Mexico, China, India, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Among her many accomplishments at Ford, Molina helped transform the automaker's South America purchasing organization, leading cross-functional programs that increased vehicle output and reduced supplier-related production losses.   

“Novelis is entering an exciting new chapter of growth, and I’m eager to lead the procurement function as we build on the success this team has already achieved,” she says. “My goal is to ensure we execute optimal category management strategies and best supplier relationships to better serve our customers and create value for our business.”

According to Novelis, Molina received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de Lima and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas. She has also achieved Six Sigma Green Belt certification and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
