Metso Lindemann Begins Marketing Diablo

2/25/2010

Company looks to strengthen its business with the marketing of pre-shredder equipment.

Metso Lindemann, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, recently has assumed all rights for the manufacturing and marketing of the Diablo pre-shredder, which previously was owned by the Italian company C&G Taurus.

The two-shaft machine has proven itself successfully over several years for pre-shredding of vehicles and bales and contributed to the increase in the productivity of shredder plants.

Advantages of the pre-shredder include the following:

• Possibility to process pressed material bales, logs, pressed car bodies. Allows smaller shredders to process heavier material;

• Reduction of explosions / avoidance of environmental problems;

• Reducing risk of expensive downtimes due to hidden unshreddables / avoidance of rotor shaft damages;

• Increasing of throughput due to homogenization of in-feed material;

• Best densification and liberation inside main shredder allows best separation downstream;

• Reduction of peak loads in frequency and size. Even there is higher installed drive capacity the total energy cost for the customer can be reduced. (high peak loads increases the electricity costs); and

• Increasing lifetime of wear parts
