Manitoba Corp., Lancaster, N.Y., has announced the purchase of a new facility in St. Louis, which effectively doubles the size of the company’s existing location. The new building is located at 4400 Geraldine Ave. in St. Louis.

The company originally opened the St. Louis facility in 1981. According to Manitoba, today, the operation, which is headed by long-time manager John Nichols, focuses primarily on nonferrous metals recycling.

Manitoba says continued investment in the St. Louis operation has been pursued because of the logistical importance the facility continues to play in the company’s success.

“We are thrilled to continue our reach into the Midwest and beyond. By more than doubling the size of our facility we are primed to increase our capacity and throughput by duplicating more of the services we have in our Buffalo (Lancaster) facility,” says CEO Richard Shine.
