Contest to promote scrap yard profitability program at 2014 ISRI Convention will make one winner one solid silver bar richer.
Magnatech Engineering, Tonganoxie, Kan., will give away a 0.999 pure bar of solid silver to the winner of its Guess the Shred contest at Booth 237 at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) 2014 Convention & Exposition in Las Vegas April 6-10.
The contest gives ISRI attendees the chance to guess the number of shredded aluminum cans in a Plexiglas box located in the Magnatech booth, with the guess closest to the actual number winning the prize of recycled silver. The scrap-specific contest was created to promote Magnatech’s new scrap yard profitability program, which helps recycling yard operators increase their profits by 20 percent or more, according to the company.
“We’ve heard for years that our customers have been looking for new ways to increase their profits,” says Michael Graveman, Magnatech president. “And with our three generations of experience building recycling equipment for different applications, it made sense for us to create a scrap yard profitability program that will enhance the effectiveness of almost any operation.”
