The Recycled Metals Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CMRA) is preparing to host the 12th Secondary Metals International Forum and the accompanying First International Recycling Metal Exhibition & Trade Fair Nov. 7-9, 2012, in Beijing.

According to the CMRA, “The current Exhibition & Trade Fair is the continuation of the previous strong lineup of recycled metal [industry exhibitors].” The word “international” has been added to reflect the global nature of the several dozen exhibitors, according to the CMRA.

The CMRA adds that the exhibition area will be larger than at its previous events. “The scale of the [2012] Exhibition & Trade Fair will expand several times,” says the group, with exhibitor categories to include “domestic and international renewable nonferrous metal recycling, dismantling, smelting, processing, trade and various fields of business, [recycling] parks, the distribution market, demonstration bases, as well as research institutes and equipment suppliers.”

The annual Forum typically draws more than 1,000 nonferrous metals traders, brokers, processors, consumers and industry suppliers.

Regarding the Forum’s programming, the CMRA says it will focus on six core themes of communication and presentation, including:

  •     Policies and regulations that can guide industry development;
  •     International trade that can increase market demand;
  •     Financial capital that can boost enterprise development;
  •     Technical equipment to promote industries upgrade;
  •     Resource and energy management to promote enterprise competitiveness; and
  •     Global cooperation to promote recycling systems.
