Griffith, Indiana-based Cambridge Cos., a waste and recycling facility design-build company, has been awarded the contract to design and build a transfer station in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
The Cape Girardeau project is currently in the design phase and is scheduled to begin construction in August 2015. Cambridge Cos. says it will subcontract the work to local trades and suppliers in Cape Girardeau County during the construction phase of the project.
Jeff Eriks, chief business development officer for Cambridge Cos., says, “The Cape Girardeau Transfer Station build is a unique opportunity for Cambridge. We are excited to be working with the employees of the city of Cape Girardeau to build a quality, long-lasting structure that will meet their needs for years to come.”
The company’s design project manager for the Cape Girardeau project, Evan Williams, says the site also will be able to support a small hauling facility.
