Avangard adds electronics recycling services through new partnership

Company signs deal with Asset Value Management to handle obsolete electronics.

Avangard Innovative, based in Houston, is now offering its Natura Zero clients what it calls safe and secure disposal of out-of-date IT assets and electronic scrap through a partnership arrangement it has made with Asset Value Management (AVM).

“We continue to provide and maximize the value of Natura Zero to deliver total solutions to zero waste, and this joint venture with AVM helps us achieve and enhance our goals while ensuring our customers meet theirs,” says Rick Perez, CEO of Avangard Innovative. “Through partnering with like-minded businesses, we are ensuring our customers are able to efficiently recycle, reduce and reclaim spent resources in everyday operations.”

Avangard’s Natura Zero program was launched in 2013 to focus on zero-waste-to-landfill initiatives and enable customers to reach zero waste goals while increasing the profitability of their recyclables.

According to Avangard, the program uses proprietary technology and software to track, report, analyze and audit customer waste and recyclables. “We truly want to build and create a sustainable program that is environmentally, socially and economically friendly and we believe that through our Natura Zero we can achieve that together,” Perez adds.

AVM provides technical asset management and specializes in the safe and secure disposal of out-of-date IT assets, technology value recovery and recycling management.

“As technology continues to advance at phenomenal speeds, so will e-waste,” says Eddie Davis, president of AVM. “We are excited to partner with Avangard Innovative and expand our reach to make an even larger impact.”

“Forming trusted partnerships allow us to be a convenient, one stop shop for our customers. Together, we can have a dramatic, positive impact on the environment for this and future generations,” Perez adds.

In related news, Avangard also has established a partnership agreement with BioHitech America. Through this partnership Avangard’s Natura Zero network providers will have access to a technology that addresses food waste disposal.

BioHitech America says its solution to food waste combines green technology with the power of big data to offer transparency, savings and a sustainable future. The company’s Eco-Safe Digester, an on-site aerobic digester, eliminates up to 2,400 pounds of food waste in a 24-hour period by converting it into nutrient-neutral water and transporting the water safely through standard sewer lines.

The BioHitech Cloud, a technology platform hosted by Amazon, measures key metrics and is designed to optimize the food waste disposal process.

“We are thrilled to partner with Avangard Innovative and to continue our international sustainability efforts,” says Frank Celli, CEO of BioHitech America. “As we strive to provide a sustainable solution that is environmentally, socially, and economically friendly, our new partnership with Rick (Perez), the Avangard Innovative team and Natura Zero program will expedite our global expansion goals," Celli adds.
