TOMRA Sorting Recycling to present new sensor sorter at IFAT Entsorga

TOMRA Sorting Recycling reports that the company will unveil and demonstrate a new sensor-based metal sorter during the IFAT Entsorga event set for 5-9 May in Munich.

The trade fair, held every other year, is one of the largest events focusing on water, sewage, waste and raw materials management and takes place in Munich’s Neue Messe convention center. TOMRA Sorting Recycling, part of TOMRA Sorting Solutions, will be represented at stand 235/334 in Hall C2. 

The company says its TITECH range of automated sorting systems for various waste and metal material streams is built to deliver clear commercial, legislative and environmental benefits. The company says that sensor-based solutions may be able to deliver significantly higher yields and increased value from the input material than traditional methods such as manual sorting.

Dr. Ralph Uepping, technical director for recycling for TOMRA Sorting Recycling, observes, “The new TITECH sensor-based sorter for metal recycling we’ll launch at IFAT Entsorga will deliver an unequalled level of processing quality and sorting accuracy at every single moment.”

TOMRA Sorting Recycling also reports that the company will reveal a new 18-square-metre by 10 square-metre exhibition stand, designed in the new corporate color, dark blue. The company says the rebranding effort aligns TOMRA Sorting Recycling with the wider group, although the existing orange color will be retained on its TITECH machines. The state-of-the-art stand will feature a TITECH AppDesk, demonstration units and video walls, the company says.
