TMS International Corp., Pittsburgh, the parent company of the steel mill services company Tube City IMS Corp., has opened a new trading office in Nashville, Tenn.

J. David Aronson, president and COO of the company’s Raw Material and Optimization Group, says the launch of the office demonstrates TMS’ long-term commitment to its customers and partners in the United States.
“The opening of the Nashville office is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to continue its expansion in the U.S.,” Aronson says. “This new office complements our Southeastern operations and trading locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.”

Heading up the office will be trader Todd Minnier. Prior to joining TMS, Minnier worked at several large U.S. metals trading companies and specialized in steel products.

“Todd will be responsible for strategic planning, procurement and business development for the greater Nashville region. He is an experienced trader, and we are pleased to welcome him to the team,” Aronson says.

Minnier will report directly to Chris Ochoa, vice president, Southern region, the manager  of the company’s Birmingham, Ala., trading office.
