SRS’ Earth Day Events Collect Nearly 500,000 Pounds of Electronics

More than 1,300 people dropped off electronics for recycling at 25 collection events.

Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS), a global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, collected nearly 473,000 pounds of electronics at 25 events in honor of Earth Day during the month of April.  More than 110 people working with Sims at locations in eight different states assisted more than 1,300 people who dropped off material.
“Sims has the resources to hold events all over the world and to collect and process a very large amount of electronic waste for recycling,” says Steve Skurnac, president, SRS, Americas. “But we cannot make people take time out of their busy days to come to a collection event and drop off material. The fact that so many people chose to do just that and take part in our Earth Day events to make sure their electronics are disposed of properly is very exciting.”
