At the IFAT 2018 trade fair in Munich May 14-18, Sesotec GmbH, headquartered in Schoenberg, Germany, will present its Flake Purifier+ multisensor sorting system in Hall B5, Stand 415/514. The unit now comes standard with a 3.2-millimeter nozzle and valve grid, allowing increased throughput capacity. It is operated with SesoDesk operating software.
As co-exhibitor Sesotec's partner company KRS Recycling Systems GmbH, Neuschonau, Germany, will feature its Spektrum Scope glass sorting system, which features a new NIR (near infrared) sensor.
The modified Flake Purifier+ system also features a valve unit with double the number of nozzles, which ensures higher precision in contaminant separation and reduces the loss of good material, Sesotec says. The dust-proof design and the resort track that can be integrated into the Flake Purifier+ also are intended to increase efficiency in the recycling process, especially when input material is highly contaminated.
Michael Perl, head of the Sorting Recycling business unit at Sesotec, says of the Flake Purifier+: “For the modification of the Flake Purifier multisensor sorting system into the new-generation Flake Purifier+, the wishes of our customers for increased throughput capacities with minimized loss of good material, and thus an overall increase of value creation, were the decisive factors.”
Together with KRS Recycling Systems, Sesotec for the first time present the Spektrum Scope glass sorter, which is equipped with the new Sesotec NIR sensor unit. With this sensor unit, for example, transparent plastics of the same color can be differentiated in a flow of white cullet, the companies say. Special glass types, among other borosilicate glass, also can be detected. To allow higher throughput capacities and more flexible plant planning, the working width of the Spektrum series was extended to 1,563 millimeters for the Spektrum Scope.
