Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI,, a steel manufacturer and scrap processor based in Fort Wayne, Ind., has announced that it has appointed James Trethewey and Traci Dolan to its board of directors.

Trethewey’s appointment fills a vacancy created at the end of last year with the passing of former lead director Joseph Ruffolo. The appointments bring the total number of directors back to 11 people.

Trethewey has been in the iron ore and coal mining industry for 40 years, including 35 years with Cliffs Natural Resources. Dolan is currently chief administrative officer and corporate secretary of ExactTarget Inc., a publicly owned global cross-channel interactive marketing software-as-a-service company.
