PSI Announces 2013 Scholarship Winners

Four students will receive $1,500 scholarships.

Four young people related to employees of member companies of the Paper Stock Industries (PSI) chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) have been chosen from among 22 applicants to receive one of PSI's annual $1,500 scholarships.

2013 PSI scholarship recipients are:

  • Kelsey Boman, daughter of Bill and Renee Boman, who is a customer service rep at Marathon Equipment;
  • Veronica Chapp, daughter of Mary Wood, revenue accountant at Pioneer Paper Stock;
  • Caleb Powell, son of Dawn and Buford Powell, who is area manager for SP Recycling SE; and
  • Erica Sun, daughter of Gloria Chu, who works in human resources at Tzeng Long USA.

PSI will again hold a bowling tournament in conjunction with the Paper Recycling Conference & Trade Show, organized by the Recycling Today Media Group, Oct. 16-8, 2013, in Chicago to benefit the group’s scholarship fund.

The scholarship committee, led by chairman Crawford Carpenter (The Newark Group), includes George Chen (G&T Trading Int'l), Marty Davis (Midland Davis Corp.) and Kevin Duncombe (Western Pacific Pulp & Paper).
