The German company Mondi Group has signed an agreement with Duropack GmbH for the acquisition of Duropack’s operations in Germany and the Czech Republic. The acquisition consists of two corrugated box plants and one recycled containerboard mill.
Mondi will pay €125 million to acquire the assets, which include two corrugated box plants that consume about 130,000 metric tons of containerboard per year and a recycled board mill that has a capacity of 105,000 metric tons of recycled product per year.
Mondi has production operations across 28 countries and revenues of €5.7 billion in 2011. Mondi Group’s key operations are located in central Europe, Russia and South Africa.
