The University of Arkansas College of Engineering has presented Chris Weiser, owner and president of J.V. Manufacturing, with its Distinguished Alumni Award.
The award honors graduates of the University of Arkansas College of Engineering who have provided leadership in their communities and achieved distinction in their fields of endeavor.
Under Weiser’s leadership, the company also recently received the Achievement level of the Arkansas Governor's Quality Award.
J.V. Manufacturing also announced that the Arkansas Department of Labor has recognized the company with its One Million Work Hours Safety Award. The company reports that 170 employees have accumulated 1 million man-hours without a lost day away from work resulting from a work-related injury or illness between January 2010 and March 2013. The company has a safety program in effect and a safety committee comprising both employees and management.
