The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), Washington, has announced that it has added iScrap App to its affinity program. This opens the door for ISRI members to access expert advice on marketing their businesses and a discount for the company’s premium service.
IScrap App is a digital directory connecting scrap metal customers throughout the U.S. and Canada. The app provides scrap metal prices and recycling tips and serves as a marketing tool for scrap yards.
“Through our Member Affinity Program, ISRI is constantly looking to bring increased value and new benefits to its membership,” says Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “In addition to discounted equipment, insurance, supplies, shipping and other perks, ISRI members will now benefit by being able to rely on the marketing strategists and having their business listed on iScrap App at a discounted rate. This provides a significant advantage over non-ISRI members.”
IScrap App was developed by Tom Buechel, a scrap yard owner and ISRI member, with the sole goal to connect peddlers and commercial scrap customers to help increase industry profits. (Buechel’s company was profiled in December 2011 issue of Recycling Today.) All ISRI members who handle metal scrap will now receive a free basic listing in the app that identifies them as an ISRI member. In addition, members will receive a discount of up to $180 per year for the app’s premium service, which includes an enhanced profile listing, marketing tips and consultation, industry news and market information and more.
More detailed information on the benefits offered by iScrap App along with other ISRI Member Affinity Programs can be found at www.isri.org/affinity. More information about iScrap App services is available at www.iScrapApp.com/signup.
