Information Systems Resources (ISR), a Dearborn, Mich.-based company providing services and products to build and manage computer networking infrastructure, has been certified to the R2 (Responsible Recycling Practices) and ISO 14001 standards.
"We are proud to have earned recognition within the industry through the prestigious and challenging R2 and ISO 14001 certifications," says Luther Elliott, ISR CEO. "Our company has always believed that in order to be a good corporate citizen it's imperative to operate in a thoughtful, environmentally appropriate manner."
ISR COO James Grutza adds, "Certification of R2 and ISO 14001 standards is a tremendous acknowledgement of our responsible business practices. The companies with which we conduct business can do so with the greatest confidence, knowing we respect the environment and engage in approved business practices."
The R2 Standard establishes requirements relating to environmental, health, safety and security aspects of electronics recycling, while ISO 14001 sets forth environmental management system criteria.
