Equipment company Eriez, Erie, Pa., has added 175 case studies, organized into industry categories, to its website at

Eriez says the new Web resource details how customers solved their most difficult separation or material handling challenges with the help of Eriez equipment. Featured industries include chemicals, food, glass, metals, minerals, mining, pharmaceuticals, plastics and more.

“Many of the problems cited are common across industries,” says John Blicha, director of corporate marketing communications at Eriez. “We developed this Web page to allow customers to learn from each others’ experiences.”

The case studies (called “processing solutions” by Eriez) touch upon material beneficiation, detection, conveying, lifting, positioning, holding, feeding or detecting and other topics related to iron separation or the successful application of magnetic or vibratory forces to solve a particular problem.

According to Eriez, the resources include technological know-how and expertise gained over the company’s more than 70 years in the business.

“Offering online and offline tools, such as these processing solutions, exemplifies our commitment to customer education,” says Blicha.

The processing solutions are a part of Eriez’ Orange University, the umbrella under which the company offers all of its educational resources. Orange University also includes Eriez’s mobile training center, Technical Center, free tools, literature library, newsletters, magnet safety information and additional articles.

Eriez specializes in magnetic and separation technologies for applications in the process, metalworking, packaging, plastics, rubber, recycling, mining, aggregate and textile industries.
