The plastic recycling equipment manufacturing company Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen Ges.m.b.H. (EREMA) , headquartered in Ansfelden, Austria, has reported that it achieved record sales of €115 million (US$152.2 million) for its most recent fiscal year.

In a release, EREMA says the increase represents a 40 percent increase over the previous fiscal year, and a 25 percent increase from the former record period set in 2007-08.

A company statement notes that the company produced 200 recycling systems and 100 individual components for customers in the most recently ended fiscal year. EREMA offers plastic recycling systems for both in-house recycling of production waste and contaminated post-consumer waste.

According to the statement, together with its subsidiaries EREMA North America, Ipswich, Mass., and 3S GmbH, Roitham, Austria, the company has focused on growth, which is reflected in consolidated group sales of about €127 million.

“The combination of cutter/compactors and extruder forms the heart of the classic EREMA systems and gives you a great opportunity to use them for a wide variety of recycling jobs and applications,” says Manfred Hackl, CEO of EREMA.

The company notes that its TVEplus technology has set new standards for in-house recycling of severely contaminated post-consumer plastic scrap and heavily printed and laminated film packaging. Since being launched, EREMA says that its VECUREMA process has become one of the most successful PET recycling technologies in Europe and the United States.
“Since EREMA was founded 29 years ago we have concentrated on being able to offer our customers ever-improving and stronger performing technologies,” says Hackl. “This is our driving force and has made us what we are today.”
