Denmark-based Eldan Recycling says it has received an order worth about $5.2 million (€4 million) for a tire recycling plant to be shipped to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The plant will be able to process up to 8.8 tons (8,000 kilograms) per hour of car and truck tires into .04 to .15-inch (1-to-4 millimeter) crumb rubber that Eldan says will be “99.9 percent free from steel and fabric.”
Eldan Recycling manufactures equipment for recycling tires, cables, electronic scrap and refrigerators. The company has designed and installed more than 830 plants and 7,100 single units in more than 60 countries.
