Balcan Engineering Will Exhibit at RWM 2013

Equipment company will showcase its lamp crushing and recycling solutions.

Balcan Engineering, a global provider of bulb and lamp recycling solutions based in Saint Leonard, Quebec, will be exhibiting at this year’s RWM exhibition .

The RWM show takes place at the NEC convention centre in Birmingham, U.K., Sept. 10-12, 2013.

The Balcan staff will be located at stand 19S29-R28, showcasing the company’s latest specialized recycling developments. Balcan will also showcase its lamp crusher, a stainless steel minimizing unit, designed to crush up to 1,000 lamps per hour.

Balcan reports that its bulb and lamp recycling plants are customizable to meet customer requirements and effectively separate high volumes of spent bulbs and lamps.

Manufactured with quality, durability and reliability in mind, the equipment can handle both whole and crushed spent lighting, removing hazardous mercury vapor and separating reusable components, Balcan says.

Balcan adds that its equipment offers high hourly throughputs and helps companies dispose of bulk spent lighting using an environmentally friendly process.

“We’re delighted to be exhibiting at this year’s RWM exhibition,” comments Alistair Rinfret, managing director of Balcan Engineering. “Environmental responsibility is becoming a top priority for companies globally, and the team can’t wait to discuss the latest equipment developments with visitors to the show.

“With waste management regulations now compulsory in most countries, meeting legislations and following guidelines is essential – but requires effective recycling processes,” Rinfret adds. “That’s why we’ve spent the last 30 years designing and developing the complete solution, from crushing and separation equipment to bespoke lighting recycling lines.”
