The 5HD3 is powered by a three-horsepower motor and high-torque drive train and is capable of destroying 10 to 12 hard drives per minute, or up to 600 hard drives per hour. Other features include:
  • Available with single- or three-phase power supply;
  • Rugged and durable construction;
  • A gravity-feed input chute and hooked cutters made from heat-treated tool steel; and
  • Compact design with minimal noise and vibration.
According to Allegheny Shredders, the 5HD3 can be installed on a truck for mobile destruction of hard drives, PDAs and other data storage devices.
