Air-Weigh, a Eugene, Oregon-based manufacturer of on-board truck scales, and Tangerine, a fleet management solutions provider based in Menlo Park, California, have announced a strategic partnership combining Tangerine’s artificial intelligence- (AI-) powered data analytics platform with Air-Weigh’s BinMaxx commercial container weight scale.

According to a joint news release, Air-Weigh's BinMaxx on-board scale will be integrated with Tangerine’s Jido Sense A.I. system. The two say the combination will display each bin lift weight and full detailed reporting. Weight and location data are captured on each bin lift and securely uploaded to the cloud for analysis and reporting.

“The partnership with Tangerine accelerates fleets' efficiencies by giving fleet managers instant weight data at their fingertips with AI reporting analysis,” says Jim Janke, Air-Weigh integration specialist. “With the combination of weight data along with other vehicle readings for each route, managers can make educated business decisions and increase overall profits.”

The two companies say the partnership ensures fleet managers are provided with real-time weight information that is accessible on the dashboard and stored on the cloud, enabling fleet owners to get insights on each account and better assess what is profitable and what isn’t.

“Air-Weigh, being the global leader in electronic on-board weighing technology, has been working closely with Tangerine, to integrate our A.I. powered telematics data analytics solution with their comprehensive product line of scales for refuse trucks,” says Sunji Rishi, co-founder and CEO of Tangerine. “This ensures that accurate data such as pickup location, route taken, driver performance, vehicle utilization, fleet maintenance and collision reports can be viewed and managed from one intuitive platform.”
