Alta Equipment Named Genesis’ Newest Dealer

7/2/2010

Company will provide service to lower Michigan.

Genesis Attachments has signed Alta Equipment Co., Wixom, Mich., as its newest authorized dealer. Alta, which recently acquired the assets of Wolverine Equipment and formed a new Construction Equipment Division (CED), will represent Genesis in lower Michigan.

“Alta will be a very good fit for us, but more importantly, will be a big plus for area contractors and companies interested in bettering their operations through the use of attachments,” says Curt Frahm, Genesis regional sales manager. “Alta has chosen to retain the sales and service staff formerly with Wolverine, so there is already an expert team on hand to handle that facet of the operation.  In addition, we just concluded a service training session for Alta’s service mechanics at their Wixom location and it was both well-attended and well-received.”

“We learned from its success with Wolverine, that Genesis Attachments makes an excellent product with outstanding support and we see them as being a major component of our rental and sales business,” says Ric Simon, president of Alta’s CED. “We anticipate the most activity in the scrap and demolition markets, but also foresee selling to general contractors, those involved in bridge work, and so on. The Genesis line is definitely a great fit for us as we move forward with the new division.”
