United Milwaukee Scrap LLC (UMS), a metals recycling firm based in Milwaukee, has merged operations with Schulz’s Recycling Inc., Merrill, Wis., to create a new company with eight locations across Wisconsin as well as additional offices in Minneapolis and Boston. The two companies will retain the names of their respective businesses following the merger.

The merger expands the companies' footprint customer resources.

Jeff Isroff, current president of Schulz’s Recycling, will assume the role of CEO for the combined company.

“We believe this merger provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to better serve the expanding needs of our customers and provide further opportunity to our employees,” says Isroff. “I am looking forward to working with all three of UMS’s current principals: Art Arnstein, Steve Lewinsky and Rick Mechanic. This new, larger organization will allow us to attract new talent, broaden our products and commodities and expand our geographical reach.

UMS operates six locations throughout the Milwaukee area as well as sales offices in Minneapolis and Boston, while Schulz Recycling has a main facility in Merrill with a second facility in Wausau, Wis.
