Guardian Data Destruction Inc. (GDD), Long Island City, N.Y., has been certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), Phoenix, for computer hard drive sanitization and physical destruction.

“To support our continued growth with our full suite of on-site data destruction services, it is imperative that we provide the client with a secure and standardized process so the experience is to the same service standard at any of their sites in the U.S.,” says Glenn Laga of Guardian Data Destruction. “Becoming NAID certified provides our clients with a third-party, industry recognition that GDD meets NAID’s security procedures and validates to the client that GDD will execute a standard process at any of their location in the U.S.”

In addition to Long Island City, GDD has locations in Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles and Seattle. The company specializes in on-site data erasure and destruction, asset logistics, site decommissioning and asset disposition.

NAID AAA Certification is awarded to companies that successfully complete a security audit conducted by an accredited security professional. To maintain the certification, GDD will be subject to random, unannounced audits as well as to routine scheduled audits.

NAID is the nonprofit trade association of the secure destruction industry and represents more than 1,900 member locations globally. NAID’s mission is to promote the proper destruction of discarded information through education and to encourage the outsourcing of destruction needs to qualified contractors, including those that are NAID certified.
