Business information firm Platts has selected the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley, Arizona, as the location of the Aluminum Symposium 2017 event, which will take place Jan. 15-17.
The company also has released a roster of speakers who have agreed to make presentations at the symposium, including:
- Mike Keown, senior vice president and president, North America with Aleris;
- Norberto Vidaña, manager of market intelligence for Nemak;
- Matt Aboud,pPresident of Hydro Aluminum Metals USA LLC;
- Jeff Henderson, the president of the Aluminum Extruders Council;
- Paramita Das, chief transformation officer, Atlantic Operations with Rio Tinto Alcan; and
- Scott Evans, director, Americas with Concord Resources Ltd.
Platts bills the Symposium as a major annual event that draws attendees from across the aluminum industry and around the world, with attendees from North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
