Tri-State Iron & Metal Co., Texarkana, Arkansas, has been recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for meeting the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) standards with the company’s safety program.
SHARP is awarded to companies that operate an exemplary safety and health management system.
“Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that will single you out among your business peers as a model for worksite safety and health,” OSHA says.
Established in 1947, Tri-State Iron & Metal is a third-generation family business that recycles, among other materials, steel, iron, aluminum, brass, copper, automobile bodies and military scrap.
