Event takes place Jan. 19-21 at the Marriott Atlanta Marquis.
The Marriott Atlanta Marquis hotel will serve as the host site of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) Operations Forum, a conference for persons involved in the safe and efficient operation of scrap recycling facilities. The event will be held Jan. 19-21 at the downtown Atlanta hotel.
The Operations Forum includes an educational program with several tracks that allows attendees to choose the sessions or track that they’ll find most helpful. Those who attend all the required sessions in a specific track can receive a Certificate of Achievement at the conclusion of the Forum.
Tracks for the 2006 program include shredder operations, OSHA 10-hour training, employee resource management, metals identification, yard management, and general operations. To receive a Certificate of Achievement, participants must complete all the sessions for a specific track and attend the opening general session and the Friday luncheon meeting, operational team-building seminars, and the closing luncheon and presentation on Saturday, according to ISRI.
The forum will also feature tabletop exhibits from providers of products and services to the scrap industry.
The advance registration fee through January 4 is $795 for ISRI members and $995 for non-members. ISRI members may deduct 10 percent from the registration fee for each additional registrant from the same company on advance registrations.
After January 4 and on site, the fees are $845 for members and $1,045 for nonmembers, with no discounts. More information on the event can be found in a downloadable brochure available at the ISRI Web site at isri.org/opsforum.
