Event takes places Sept. 15-17 in downtown Chicago.
Three types of metal, as well as plastics and the wider economy, will all gain attention at the 2009 version of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) Commodities Roundtable Forum.
The 2009 ISRI Roundtables event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, in that city’s downtown, Sept. 15-17, 2009.
Programming starts late Tuesday afternoon with a session entitled “The Retail Sector—Stoking the Fires of an Economic Recovery.” ISRI is billing the session as a look at “questions about the future health of the country’s retail sector and the signs [that] signal emergence from recession.”
Wednesday’s programming offers three commodity-specific sessions, with plastics and ferrous scrap covered in the morning and copper in the afternoon. Programming concludes with a Thursday morning session on aluminum.
- Speakers at the Ferrous Roundtable include Mark Millett of SDI-OmniSource and Pat McCormick of the new World Steel Exchange. The session’s moderator is Jim Macaluso of Cleveland Scrap.
- The Plastics Roundtable, moderated by Ron Sherga of Sher-Results LLC, will include remarks from David Raney of American Honda Motor Co. Inc.
