For the third consecutive year, the Recycling Today Media Group and Media Fusion have selected Dubai as the host city for the 2014 edition of the Paper & Plastics Recycling Middle East Conference, to take place 4-5 March, 2014.

“It is again our privilege to welcome recyclers and government officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council region and around the world to enjoy Dubai and to make new connections that will help them and the industry to prosper,” says Dr. Kayyum Ali, CEO of Media Fusion.

The event will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is again being organised on a joint venture basis by Dubai-based Media Fusion, the publisher of Waste & Recycling Middle East magazine, and the United States-based Recycling Today Media Group, publisher of Recycling Today magazine.

Corporate sponsors such as Saudi Arabian paper producer WARAQ, Saudi Arabian based waste and recycling firm WASCO, Belgium-based global plastics recycler Gemini Corp., and Atlanta-based global paper recycling consultancy Moore & Associates are again lining up to support the event.

“We’re gratified that scrap paper and plastics collectors, processors, sellers and buyers have found this event to be a worthwhile regional and global gathering place,” says Jim Keefe, Group Publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group.

The 2014 version of the event will again offer sessions examining markets for established and emerging recovered paper and plastic scrap commodities in a global context.  Additional topics covered will include emerging trends in paper and plastic packaging; updates on the plastic scrap stream recovered from obsolete electronics; case studies of successful plastic scrap and recovered fibre collection efforts; and a roundtable for paper mill operators to discuss the recovered fibre market from their viewpoint.

The two media organisations also collaborate each year on the Middle East Metals Recycling Conference, which debuted in 2013. The second version of that conference will take place 2-3 March 2014, also at the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai.
