Chicago School Buses Stolen, Sold to Scrap Yard

Police were able to locate the buses through GPS tracking systems included on vehicles.

The Chicago Tribune reports that eight school buses in Chicago were stolen from a bus company’s yard in the city, taken to a scrap metal yard and shredded.

According to the Tribune, the owner of the scrap metal firm, SRV Metal Scrapper, was one of four people taken into custody.
