Associations and trade groups announce participation in 2013 trade fair.
Conference organizer Messe München International says the IFAT India event, taking place Oct. 24-26, 2013, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai, is gaining additional allies.
“Local and international trade associations are giving strong support to the premiere of IFAT India,” says Messe München in an early October 2012 news release.
The National Solid Waste Association of India (NSWAI) is among the groups taking part. “I know IFAT Entsorga in Munich very well and I am sure that IFAT India will also establish itself as a successful event,” says Dr. Amiya Kumar Sahu, president of the NSWAI.
As well, Dr. Armin Vogel, chairman of the German Recycling Technologies and Waste Management Partnership Association e.V. (RETech), says, “The Indian environmental market needs holistic solutions, and IFAT India covers all the sectors relevant to that market. This makes it the ideal trade show for environmental solutions.”
Another trade group taking part is the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V. , or DWA). “As a conceptual sponsor of the sector’s leading international trade fair, IFAT Entsorga, a role we have played right from the start of that event, we are confident that Messe München is making the right step at the right time for the sector by launching IFAT INDIA,” says Johannes Lohaus, managing director of DWA.
IFAT INDIA’s other international partners include the European Water Association (EWA), the Bundesvereinigung der Firmen im Gas- und Wasserfach (FIGAWA), the Umweltcluster Bayern, the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), the Indian Water Works Association (IWWA), the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Public Health (StMUG) and the Verband Deutscher Rohr- und Kanal-Technik-Unternehmen (VDRK).
Messe München International has also announced that registration documents for IFAT India will be ready at the end of October 2012. At that time, the forms can be download from the show’s website at www.ifat-india.com.
Messe München International says it anticipates that IFAT India will attract some 100 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors to an exhibit hall that may use up as much as 64,000 square feet (6,000 square meters) of space.
